I never do anything right...

This is Penny, I didn't even ask Hannah if it was a good idea to start this blog, because she would be super logical, analytical, and professional about it and probably tell me no. She's the one that does things the proper way and the brains of this whole operation. I'm just the crazy psychopath who jumps out of their full-time job with no backup option, screaming YOLO, and starts a business with no idea what being a business owner actually means.

But I think the value that I bring to the table, besides my amazing speed and years of experience in design, is my "quirky and eccentric authenticity" which I've come to find out after taking several self-tests online, interrogating my own friends and family, and doing some avid soul and google searching equates to - autism. It's amazing what you can find out on the internet about about yourself after living on this planet for 34 years. I've always known I had ADHD, that's something you can't help but know about yourself when your leg is bouncing 24/7, you realize it's not supposed to be a loud, chaotic experience in your own mind just sitting on the couch, and everything goes bad in the fridge because you can never remember it is there. So I've realized being AuDHD has been the reason for a lot of my odd personality traits. I don't know how Hannah puts up with me.

In spite of my weird brain, I want to reveal my heart. Being misunderstood is something I'm so used to, and I tend to overexplain and overthink how I engage with others (remember the autism thing), but I just know that if I am honest and open, that people will be:

A. Relieved that they aren't alone in their own weirdness

B. Able to relate to me and see how splendid it would be to trust their branding and marketing to someone so "fun"

C. To connect with our company on a deeper level and see that we really are just people like you doing the best we can with what we have and we will give you grace to be open with us, just as we are open with you.

Seeing as one of our core values is connection, and right now I would rather do anything else than what I'm supposed to be doing (remember the ADHD thing), I think starting a blog is a great idea! So, by the power vested in me by myself, I vote to start telling you all stories about my journey as a business owner, marketer, designer, and all around weird person, because at least it could be entertaining for you. And boy, do I have some stories to tell. I won't exaggerate at all, except when I do, and you still won't believe the wild things I get into.

So, if you're interested, stay tuned for the blog from 5x2! (A.k.a. Penny)

Maybe I can get Hannah, Jessi, and Donna to write a blog once or twice, as well. Hannah would probably write something super professional that would be used in Marketing Academic Journals and taught in universities or something, so that would be pretty cool.

Rest - The Best Strategy

I counted up how many jobs I've had since I started working at 13 years old and I'm pretty sure I'm up to about 33 jobs now. I feel like...
